German cockroaches are the small, light brown ones with two dark stripes behind the head. They are the type found indoors in Toowong far more often than any other, especially in kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. They like warmth and moisture, so they gather behind fridges, inside dishwasher panels, around the stove and in the hinges of cupboard doors. A single female can produce a large number of young in a matter of weeks, which is why a small problem can grow quickly, particularly in units where kitchens sit close together.
Store-bought sprays tend to scatter German cockroaches deeper into wall cavities without reaching the nest. The crew we book takes a different path.
